Makhana Grades Explained: 4 Sut to 6+ Sut

Sut sizing

“Sut” is the traditional grade measure for makhana — larger sut means a larger, more uniform popped kernel, which commands a higher price.

Why it matters for bulk buyers

Grade drives both price and end use. Snack brands and premium retail favour the larger grades; ingredient and flour applications can use smaller, more economical grades.
